109. Her Voice

Her feelings caught

Caught in a human cage

Cage of words in her thought

Thought she tries to let go with rage

Hard as she tries

Tries to express

Express the tears she cries

Cries, neglected in wilderness

Consumed by human nature

Nature of man’s tyranny

Tyranny of a wild creature

Creature ignoble with fury

Lost and spent in oppression

Oppression untimely and ugly

Ugly action in succession

Succession of cruelty

Here she raises her voice

Voice of a hurt legion

Legion of shaken poise

Poise she longed for an eon
