Horses – Of Reasoning and Delight

As horses they come
From corners of the heart
Echoing thunders, in delight
Dimming, the dark of the night

As horses we go
Lost in high dust, of clouds
Leaving footprints larger, longer
Of those, which drummed on the heart
And they became men, pulling reins
On the back

As horses we go
From corners of the mind
And bring a castle, of golden walls
Twinkling the eyes, now yellow
In the dark of the night

As horses they come
Into a striped palm, of red reins
Stomachs full, with commands high
To turn mountains and the moon
In hues, of twinkling gold

As the commands of rusted sounds
Become thunders, in ears folded
The castle now wears, walls of stone
Held on eyes, in hues of pride
