Walls and Doors

Every layer of brick
not a wall

Every opening
not a door

All that blocks
becomes not a wall

All that moves
makes not a door

I saw but doors
where you laid cemented stones

I felt but bricks
where you let the light in

When I figured your home
In its nooks and corners
When you figured mine

We found the same light to read
and same shadows to hold

  1. Remember me ,when not in life, you will have grown up to a great poet .

  2. This is an exquisite piece of poetry! Nicely done!
