192. Ambiguity

One word of our own
Makes thought shiver
In a pond as a stone thrown
Makes reflection quiver

Ripples of ambiguity
Felt as a feather in mind
On a surface of serenity
Distorted as on water to find

Add more words in speech
Now an array of stones
A reflection so, beyond reach
Where flesh becomes bones

Ripples now turn waves
A disillusion in every part
As it bleeds and craves
Ambiguity tears our heart

  1. ‘As it bleeds and craves / Ambiguity tears our heart’: Venkat, this is a beautiful and powerful line . . . I like the entire poem . . . It is ambiguity that makes poetry possible . . .

  2. Thank you Peter. I like the time lag between posting here and in Poet’s Corner. I get to hear again from you and also get an idea or so different from the time I wrote it!!!
