146. The Emotional Plane

Some words spit fire
Or pierce as a knife
Some induce desire
Or strip meaning from life

The trouble with mind
Divided into sides, two
A mismatch in the bind
Breaks up the glue

The problem in man
Not in thinking ability
In his thoughts he can
But prey to a sensitivity

An emotional state
Underdeveloped
Ruins the best brain’s fate
In negativity, thus enveloped

Forget yourself, just observe
Forgive the words, look deep
Let them through, not preserve
As a child, just do not keep

Take a second, a step to learn
To grow the emotional mind
At every conversational turn
Never answer back, but find
