114. It’s Not About Us

Words penetrative to sting
Feelings of one’s own making
Visions appear far from near
We, the creators of our fear

Our thoughts, genes borrowed
Lessons taught, ideas followed
A relationship with our shadow
As mirrors broad or narrow

A touch relatively only possible
To our concepts, not physical
A praise or a painful curse
Not representing the real us

Speech provoking emotion
Is about reactions or situation
That one grows up with
To think it about us, a myth

Each person in a man made world
Whether flying or curled
Is living or dealing with images own
A truth hard to taste though known
